Furniture built slowly, so it lasts a long time.

We are a small workshop making solid timber pieces to order. Every joint is cut by hand, and every piece leaves with the name of the person who made it.

Section / Intro

Ten pieces a month, not a thousand.

Our bench takes four people. That number sets everything else — how many commissions we accept, how long a chair stays in the drying room, and how often we can answer the phone.

We buy timber from three mills within a day's drive and we know the year each board was cut. Nothing is veneered, and nothing is finished with a spray gun.

Section / Process

From first sketch to the day it arrives

A commission usually takes between ten and sixteen weeks. Here is where that time goes, so nothing about the wait comes as a surprise.

Step 01

Conversation

You tell us the room, the use, and the budget. We measure and photograph the space if it is nearby.

Step 02

Drawing

A full-size drawing and a timber sample go out for approval. Two rounds of changes are included.

Step 03

Bench work

Boards are milled, rested, and cut. You get photographs at the halfway point without having to ask.

Step 04

Delivery

We deliver and install ourselves, then come back once after a season to check every joint.
