Tell us about the room first.

The more we know about where a piece will live, the shorter the conversation gets. There is no obligation and no automated reply waiting at the other end.

Finding the yard

The entrance is behind the timber merchant, not on the main road. Look for the loading bay with the stack of boards outside.

By car

Free parking in the yard for two cars. Anything larger than a van will not make the turn.

By train

Twelve minutes on foot from the station, along the canal path and left at the bridge.

Deliveries

Timber deliveries take the second gate. Ring the bell twice; the workshop is at the back.

Questions we are asked before every commission

How much does a commission cost?

A dining table starts around the price of a good second-hand car and goes up with size and timber. We give a fixed quote after the drawing stage, and it does not move unless you change the brief.

How long will I wait?

Ten to sixteen weeks from approved drawing to delivery. If the timber has to be ordered and rested, we will say so before you commit rather than after.

Can you copy a piece I have seen elsewhere?

We will not reproduce another maker's design. We are glad to take it as a starting point and draw something that suits your room, which usually ends up fitting better anyway.

Do you deliver outside the region?

Yes, though we deliver and install everything ourselves, so distance adds a day and a cost we will show you in the quote. Nothing goes on a pallet courier.

What happens if something goes wrong later?

Every joint is guaranteed for as long as we are open. Marks and rings in the oil finish you can repair yourself — we leave you the tin and show you how before we go.

Not ready to commission anything yet?

Come to the workshop on a Saturday. There is no showroom and nobody will follow you around.
